Social Club Manager

The Role

The Club Manager and their staff are the face of Stoke Golding Club; they are the people that members relate to. It is essential that whoever takes on this role should have excellent inter-personal and communication skills. We are looking for people who can create a warm and friendly atmosphere which will not only encourage existing members to use the Club frequently but will also encourage new membership.

You, together with the committee, will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Club including finance and security. You should be IT competent and have a good knowledge of an EPOS system.

The Club is open approximately 55hrs per week, evenings only during the week (plus additional opening hours if private functions arise) and full days at weekends so a flexible approach to working hours is essential.

The team includes part time bar staff and cleaners, and it will be important to ensure that all understand their roles and are working to common aims. Knowledge of health and safety legislation is vital, and all staff must be aware of all health and safety rules.

Over the last 18 months the club has introduced new revenue streams, Saturday morning Coffee & Cakes and full breakfasts, Once a week we have a traditional Pie Night (Or similar), and introduced regular entertainment events, your input into improving revenue opportunities will be vital to the roll of club manager.

You will need to have experience in the licensing and hospitality industry and must have your own licence and PLH.

Stoke Golding Club is at the heart of the community – it was founded in 1929. It has a caring, friendly and welcoming ethos and currently there are nearly 500 members. There is a Pool Table & darts board. Dominoes (a league) and bingo are usually played once a week. There is a function room which is used by local organisations (e.g. Dance Clubs) as well as regular weekend private functions or entertainment arranged by the committee

The position of Club Manager is a full time role, salary to be negotiated
